In the Nazzaro/Wells version Jackson's exit is with his knowledge and Muir says it wasn't. I wasn't there, but seems the folks who were on the crew might know more than the folks who only write about it years later. A minor point, but sometimes if the small details are off, you might question the bigger details. I'm still bopping around the book, checking out my favorite episodes first. At least it looks like Muir is thinking about what he's writing about, even if I may not agree with everything. In the end, it's all down to opinions anyway. He also assumes the reader is familiar with current sci fi. If he cut all the thumbnail resumes and irrelevant tangents, he'd have a tighter piece. If we do that, we thought it might be fun to put in an entrance hall and all the little rooms like the cafe and the toilets. The question is, what pictures should be on display in such areas? I think we have a few pictures of the crew eating, but what can we show for the loos? Any creative ideas? I think a nappy-changing area is beyond us, though I guess Forbus should get the disabled toilet... Well, the Nazzaro/Wells version is quoting both David Jackson and David Maloney in actual interviews and they both tell roughly the same story. David Jackson says he was told at the start of series 2 and Maloney took him out to lunch to break the news. (to those who don't have 'Blake's 7: the Inside Story', all I can say is grab a copy fast if it's still available. Lots of photos, funny stories and it draws directly on the experience of numerous camera crew, actors, directors, etc. Sheelagh knows everyone. I needed to contact Jim Francis, the special effects designer, a few months ago to verify if a model from the series was genuine. Sheelagh knew instantly where I could find him. The model in question turned out to be the shuttle from Orbit, made by Ron Thornton. It will hopefully be making an appearance at Redemption '01 along with Ron himself.) I think David Maloney's story is one of Sheelagh's tapes too, as I can hear his voice in my mind saying that he was worried about what David's reaction would be. I do, but then, I like browsing. Mind you, I did get Evil Dead 2 from them, plus Robin of Sherwood #1, when no-one else was stocking it. We changed all the PAL video links on http://www.hermit.org/Blakes7 from Paradise to Blackstar recently as their prices were better. Their policy of inclusive postage regardless of destination makes them great for Australian fans too.
