[Name Withheld], I would suggest to her anything by Professor Geoffrey
Ashe, from England.  He is considered one of the foremost experts on
Arthuriana.  He also (FYI) lives in Dion Fortune's house.  ;-) He is
also an expert on Glastonbury Tor as well.  I had the great pleasure
of taking three courses from him in Summer of '92 to finish my BS in
History.  He is also back here in Portland Oregon, teaching summer
session again.  That was also the summer that I got a 4.0!!  And took
two of his classes as grad level classes.
	Unfortunately I don't have a comprehensive listing of his
works.  But he is fabulous in person as a lecturer.  He also has a
book out called "The Virgin" , where he discusses the origin of the
Virgin Mary in the Christian/Catholic church.  He believes that she
was appropriated by the church rather than the church trying to subdue
or eliminate her worship. Very interesting reading.  I highly
