    As this has been a popular thread of discussion lately I thought
I'd suggest an *intresting* book recommended me by an herbalist friend
of mine. I think the title may just say it all....

    Contraception and Abortion from the Ancient World to the Renissance.

The author has researched the Egyptian papryii, Greco-Roman wirtings,
Talmudic commentary, &c... concerning contraception / abortion
methods, moraes, and herbal recipies.
