In fact this has got to be the best book I have seen on the subject for some time. So at last a book which is actually written by someone who knows what they are talking about. With this book in your hand and no past experience of incense making, you can be sure that if you follow the instructions, you will end up with a good incense. At the same time you will have learnt a great deal about the ingredients and processes that go into its making. The book also lists the equipment you will need to make a good job of the blending and storage. There are formulas for the planets, zodiac, festivals and elements, as well as various special magical incenses. My only criticism is that it could have been a bit longer, as I suspect Dave Lee had a lot more to say on the subject. Reviewed by Paul Ratcliffe in 'Nuit Isis Reader' volume one
