Or just a plain >good luck spell will be just fine. Find an unfrozen stream or river, relatively calm if possible. Sit beside it for awhile; get a good mental handle on the way it flows. Breathe deeply. Carefully gather a handful of pebbles; select those which feel right in your hand. Hold them with your hand clasped shut until they're warm and feel comfortable. Next, banish thought from your mind to the fullest extent you can manage and cast the pebbles into the water with a sweeping motion. When they strike and ripples begin to spread, call up vivid memories of what these people have done for you, and focus on your intent of returning the kindness; watch the ripples all the while. Close your eyes when they fade and focus solely on your intent for as long a time as you feel appropriate. The best way to finish things off would be to leap into the river yelling joyously, but failing that, a brief prayer to the deity of your choice should do nicely (logical positivism is as good a deity as most if you just don't go for the old-style ones). >i am serious. i am anon. because in 'real life' i am a scientist.
