Could someone verify or otherwise comment on this interpretation scheme for the minor arcana: Ace: beginning/end (seed, above) 2: Antithesis 3: Synthesis 4: Completion 5: Conflict 6: Resolution/Reconciliation 7: Limitation 8: Expansion 9: Integration 10: Culmination (fulfillment, above) Of course, each applies to the particular suit to get a more specific meaning. Am I way off base here? Thus for ace I would say beginning, seed, anticipation, source. For two I don't think antithesis is very appropriate except as a special meaning. For example, twos seem to indicate duality, polarity, pregnancy, fertility, nascent creativity. While antithesis could in some sense relate to these concepts, it does not generally fit them. For threes I would say synthesis but also life, birth, fruits, expression or self-expression. These are senses of the numbered cards I have gleaned from various sources and through my own experiences. Generally, I don't have an easy time of the minor arcana as the meanings in books seem arbitrary and unrelated. Does anyone know an alternative? I am beginning to try to divine what the minor cards mean to me as opposed to what they mean to someone else. Any help in this area? Peace. Roger
