The dogmatism expounded here is amazing.

Look, the nature of Magick is such that whatever you find to be true
for you will be so, especially with regard to the 'proper procurement
and treatment' of magical tools.  Therefore...

1) If you find that buying decks is bad for your magicks, don't buy them.

2) If you find, as I do, that your power is so great that constant work
   with any tool makes it yours, then by all means, don't bother your
   pretty head about it.


Honestly, y'all want a rule that works for everyone.  I think it is
valuable to search for it, but I doubt you're ever going to find one
that isn't horribly vague and applicable throughout a great diversity
of circumstances.
