Are they really starting again again? I mean, they went all through once and then immediately again and now starting over once more. Oh dear I just re-read that its not very articulate. Anyway, good for UK Gold. Amen to that. I told a collegue of mine about the reruns on UK Gold and we both felt that TV10 (the dutch version of UK Gold) should learn from their example. The last time a B7 episode was aired in Holland about 14 years ago. Since then we've had to make do with tapes and memories. The only SF series on TV10 is Star Trek, which is nice, but not nearly enough. STYX's "Kiilroy Was Here" album would work well with Blake's 7, wouldn't it? But I lost my tape with "heroes" so I forgot how it was punctuated. as > a them song for the show in general, but > especially the 4th season. To me, it's more Vila than > Gan - dear little thief that he is, snatching > pleasure from the very jaws of horror, soma > bottle in hand. ["Let's dance/ For fear tonight > is all..."] I guess I'm so terminally depressed I thought of its nihilism as mainstreaam.. I _do_ know it's not really a happy song, but rather a carpe diem. And why must the romance be empty? Love is frightening. You invest so much of your soul in it, the thought of losing the other becomes terrifying, even if not based on anything but the insability of life in general. > > Alternatively, I'd save it for 4th season > slash - A/V, V'T, A/T - the kind where they > fall in love, are all filled with hope and joy, and > then the writer finishes with a variant on > "and then they all went to Gauda Prime and > were killed." Interesting, I'd not have thought of it _that_ way. I like it for Vila-- see my comment under Vila further down. > > Gan's difficult - even when Bowie is most > mainstream, he's not very mainstream :-P > Somehow, I'm thinking of "Starman," That fits. "There's a Starman, wating in the sky, he'd like to come nd join us, but he thinks he'd blow our minds"... Gan did try to get the others on Cygnus Alpha to accept Blake and back his plans. > >Jenna: "Ashes to Ashes" or "Major Tom" > > Very interesting choice, and it *sounds* > right - go on, tell me. I'm guessing she > could be Major Tom 'cos she's a pilot > and was lost in space, but why > "Ashes to Ashes"? Ashes to Ashes is kind of a sequel to Major Tom, plus there's an anti-drug message, and you know how she felt about Shadow. Maybe also fitting because her character was kept in the background too much, or a reflection of her feelings about life before Blake's rebellion. "I've never done good things.
