Blake has become effeminate. Obviously, the evil Federation will stop at nothing to throw mud on his good name. Or perfume. Or whatever. Or maybe it's just part of a sinister plot of Servalan's to get back to power. If people start thinking Blake, besides being a dark haired person with dark eyes and olive skin and--almost forgot--some kind of charisma, is female, she'll have a much easier time passing for him than he will. We are gradually plowing through every shelf in every room of the house, clearing out duplicates and extra items from our collections of B7 and every other fandom we've both in involved in for the past 30 years. Annie is planning to put together a web page and auction off many out-of-print, classic B7 zines. Since the two of us live at the same address, we decided after 10 years that it was kind of redundant to keep two copies of the same zine, so we're clearing some living space. Watch for the announcement, because there are going to be some rare gems among the listings. In the meantime: Professionals fans! Check out our latest auctions. We've posted some beautiful candid pictures of Lewis Collins (Bodie from The Professionals). More to come, including Martin Shaw. http://members.ebay.com/aboutme/ashton7 ------------------------------ Date: Sun, 5 Sep 1999 01:10:50 EDT From: Bizarro7@aol.com To: freedom-city@blakes-7.org, Blakes7@lysator.liu.se Subject: [B7L] Whoops! I've got a brand new idea. Spacials operate on a logarithmic scale. How would that do? You could then have small numbers for things close by and bigger numbers for things far off without having to use massive numbers. ie. A spacial could be the power to ten of the number of kilometers. Ten kilometers would be 1 spacial, 100 km = 2 spacials. 1000km = 3 spacials, etc. > Judith -- http://www.hermit.org/Blakes7 - Fanzines for Blake's 7, B7 Filk songs, pictures, news, Conventions past and present, Blake's 7 fan clubs, Gareth Thomas, etc. (also non-Blake's 7 zines at http://www.nas.com/~lknight) Redemption '01 23-25 Feb 2001 http://www.smof.com/redemption/ ------------------------------ ------------------------------ Date: Sun, 5 Sep 1999 19:32:32 +0100 From: "Neil Faulkner" To: "lysator" Subject: Re: [B7L] Re [ B7L] Spacials Message-ID: <002e01bef7cd$e49b6c60$55488cd4@default> Content-Type: text/plain; charset="iso-8859-1" Content-Transfer-Encoding: 7bit Judith wrote: >I've got a brand new idea. So a light year (about 9,500 billion km) would be 14 spacials. And Liberator's standard orbit of 1000 spacials would be somewhere in the region of 100 000 000 000 000 000 000 000 000 000 000 000 000 000 000 000 000 000 000 000 000 000 000 000 000 000 000 000 000 000 000 000 000 000 000 000 000 000 000 000 000 000 000 000 000 000 000 000 000 000 000 000 000 000 000 000 000 000 000 000 000 000 000 000 000 000 000 000 000 000 000 000 000 000 000 000 000 000 000 000 000 000 000 000 000 000 000 000 000 000 000 000 000 000 000 000 000 000 000 000 000 000 000 000 000 000 000 000 000 000 000 000 000 000 000 000 000 000 000 000 000 000 000 000 000 000 000 000 000 000 000 000 000 000 000 000 000 000 000 000 000 000 000 000 000 000 000 000 000 000 000 000 000 000 000 000 000 000 000 000 000 000 000 000 000 000 000 000 000 000 000 000 000 000 000 000 000 000 000 000 000 000 000 000 000 000 000 000 000 000 000 000 000 000 000 000 000 000 000 000 000 000 000 000 000 000 000 000 000 000 000 000 000 000 000 000 000 000 000 000 000 000 000 000 000 000 000 000 000 000 000 000 000 000 000 000 000 000 000 000 000 000 000 000 000 000 000 000 000 000 000 000 000 000 000 000 000 000 000 000 000 000 000 000 000 000 000 000 000 000 000 000 000 000 000 000 000 000 000 000 000 000 000 000 000 000 000 000 000 000 000 000 000 000 000 000 000 000 000 000 000 000 000 000 000 000 000 000 000 000 000 000 000 000 000 000 000 000 000 000 000 000 000 000 000 000 000 000 000 light years Now why didn't I think of that? It looked good to me, and I'm touched to see SC lingers on in lore. ;-) The only tentative suggestion I have is that you also include the "last update" in a mundane friendly manner, too, somewhere. These come from many fandoms such as Blakes 7, Forever Knight, Star Trek, Highlander, Quantum Leap and more. Some of these are long out of print and quite rare. We've created a web page where you can easily see what's currently available. It will be updated as items sell and as we slowly go through our collection of close to 2000 zines. On this page you can also see a sample of the artwork on the infamous "Rogue Avon" T-shirts. We only have a few of these "classics" left, so if you're interested in a particular color and size, please get your order in right away! We have one copy each of the Star Trek and Robin of Sherwood shirts, and those are going to be posted to E-bay. At the moment, we also have a few copies of brand new Blakes 7 and Highlander zines. These are copies left over from the conventions we sold at this summer. Check out the web page to see everything with the prices. But wait! There's more. We have a whole bunch of X-Files and Forever Knight stories printed from the internet during 1994 and 1995. These stories are FREE to the first person willing to pay the shipping. Otherwise, they have to go in the trash, which would be quite a waste. The website for the zine sale is: http://www.angelfire.com/biz4/bizarro7/index.html If any of you are interested in ordering photo reprints from Access, Chronicles, or Anaheim, I'm only going to be taking orders for the packages for another couple of weeks. In fact, a number of the photo pages are going to be coming down to make room for new stuff. I will leave up "highlight" pages for each convention. In any case, if you are interested in getting photo reprints, now's the time!
