Message-ID: <19991222105150.22828.qmail@hotmail.com> Content-Type: text/plain; format=flowed Blake has agreed to Vila's request to celebrate the archaic festival, partly because it's illegal, partly because it annoys Avon (and it's *his* turn to drive Avon up the wall this week) and partly because his generous soul loves the idea of presents (if he can't give Freedom to the Masses, he'll give socks and undies and books and candy to his crew.) Avon is sulking because he *knows* Blake is going to give him socks and undies and books and candy (the mindwipe and the Cause don't leave much creative imagination left over) and what he wants is the Liberator (tastefully gift-wrapped, of course). And *he* thought Christmas was only held once a year and Vila's talked Blake into it three times since Lindor... Gan is planning the menu. Trying to explain turkey with trimmings, (flaming) plum pud and brandy butter, and Chocolate Santas to Zen's food processing unit is not easy, but he doesn't give up easily. Vila and Orac have spent the last two weeks researching every wassail recipe Orac can hunt up in Federation recipe banks. That's a lot of wassail. Vila has happily offered to test the lot. While testing, Vila has decided to wrap the pre-Federation pair of Merry Christmas Musical Undies, that he 'liberated' last month, for Avon. When he sobers up, he will change the tag to 'from Blake'. Jenna is trying to work out how to twist the mistletoe story so that [a] the mistetoe is in her room [b] Blake is under it and [c] there's a lot more than kissing expected of him. Cally is finding these old Earth customs more than a little confusing, epecially the bits about "peace and goodwill towards all except Servalan, Space Command, the President, Amagons, Altas, mutoids, Dev Tarrant, the Terra Nostra, Ven Glynd, Federation troopers, the whole Federation, and anyone in black leather and yes-Avon-I-do-mean-you-if-you-don't-cheer-up" (Blake), "getting presents. Getting lots of presents. Getting drunk and eating too much. Oh, and presents" (Vila) and "Bah humbug" (three guesses who, and the first two don't count). Hope you all have a great Christmas... ______________________________________________________ Get Your Private, Free Email at http://www.hotmail.com ------------------------------ Date: Wed, 22 Dec 1999 10:49:27 -0500 (EST) From: IAMSAMM@webtv.net (JENNIFER GREEN) To: blakes7@lysator.liu.se Subject: [B7L] Re: blakes7-d Digest V99 #347 Message-ID: <15302-3860F307-537@storefull-285.iap.bryant.webtv.net> Content-Disposition: Inline Content-Type: Text/Plain; Charset=US-ASCII Content-Transfer-Encoding: 7Bit Unscribe ------------------------------ Date: Wed, 22 Dec 1999 09:54:02 -0800 From: mistral@ptinet.net To: B7 List Subject: Re: [B7L] Replacement filk for one that needs to simmer a bit longer Message-ID: <3861103A.463E9EF5@ptinet.net> Content-Type: text/plain; charset=us-ascii Content-Transfer-Encoding: 7bit Joanne MacQueen wrote: > ...the things you think of walking through carparks, possibly as darker > echoes of US thought waves (Hello, Mistral, I didn't know you were > telepathic ). Well, I have been accused of telepathy on occasion, but I don't think in any case that the sublime can possibly be an echo of the ridiculous. Marrying the Sarcophagus shades to 'We Three Kings' is nothing short of inspired. Much admiration! (If only I had a carpark nearby...) Mistraltoes -- "Ad hoc, ad loc, and quid pro quo.
